Marine Research Made Safer with Onshore Subsea Simulation Systems

Subsea Simulation & Testing Systems

Meet our subsea simulation & testing systems, engineered to replicate the ocean’s harshest conditions onshore. From hydrostatic test chambers that reach hundreds or thousands of bar to hydraulic pressure testers cycling real-world loads, our rigs let you prove your subsea connectors, valves, ROVs, and electrical connectors will survive—and thrive—before you ever drop anchor.

Core Features

  1. Chamber Sizes & Volumes: Hyperbaric vessels from 100 mm to 1000 mm diameter, available as benchtop chambers or walk-in test cells.

  2. Wide Pressure & Temperature Control: 20–4000+ bar hydrostatic/dynamic testing with fully automated pressure and temperature systems—including programmable cycles, precise heating, chilling, and rapid safety relief.

  3. Robust Design & Compliance: Engineered to ASME VIII, PD 5500 or EN 13445, and compliant with PED & PESR 2016 for the highest safety and quality standards.

  4. Material & Ancillary Options: Choose from carbon, duplex/stainless steels and electric or hydraulic actuation.

  5. Built-In Testing Protocols: Configured for API 16F and API 17L, API 6A PR2 and IBL (Instrumented Buoyancy Loss), Testing ISO 13628-5 and ISO 13628-6 suitable for validating valves, subsea electrical power cables, connectors, ROV components, and full subsea assemblies.

  6. Acceptance Testing: Includes comprehensive Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) with full documentation and out-of-the-box readiness.

Trust and Loyalty

“J Pope’s subsea simulation chamber allowed us to validate our new ROV manipulator at 300 bar without going offshore—saving us over £50K in vessel time.”

Why it works?

Real-World Simulation

Our PLC-controlled systems recreate pressure, temperature, and fluid dynamics you encounter offshore—down to the salt concentration.

Custom Engineering

Every vessel, chamber, and tester is built to your specifications: 20–4,000 bar range, carbon or stainless steel, custom ports, and safety interlocks.

Proven in the Field

Oil & gas operators and marine research labs rely on us for turn-key testing. One North Sea operator saved £70K in vessel time by certifying their subsea manifold onshore first.

Compliance & Confidence

All systems meet ASME VIII, PD5500, PED, and PESR 2016 standards—giving you audit-ready documentation and peace of mind.

Imagine deploying your subsea system with absolute certainty. No surprises. No failures. Just smooth operations and protected assets.
